Honeywell TE532ELW Long Range Weather Forecaster with Humidity and Atomic Clock Review

Honeywell TE532ELW Long Range Weather Forecaster with Humidity and Atomic Clock
Average Reviews:

I am not at all impressed with this honeywell product. It is not at all intuitive as to how to change settings, and if you hit the wrong button when an alarm goes off, it puts you into reset mode and you have to reset everything. Temp changed reading from F to C and will not go back to read in Farenheit, and it often has false readings on the outside sensor, showing sun or partial sun with 98% humidity and rain going off. Overall, I rate this honeywell product as a lemon and would send it back if I had not thrown away the mandatory packaging and original info that came with it. Maybe honeywell needs to go back to made in USA for quality, instead of following suit with everyone who is getting their products made in China.I would gladly pay more for something if it was user friendly and it worked! This thing is junk and I will be looking for a replacement.

With a new double-tool design, the Honeywell TE532ELW Long Range Weather Forecaster with Humidity and Atomic Clock boasts an elegant glossy finish that is perfect for modern decors. The Honeywell TE532ELW is the quickest, most accurate, and most convenient way of keeping track of the weather in and around your home or office.
The TE532ELW allows you to monitor the temperature and humidity in up to three remote locations at the same time, while simultaneously providing you with the most accurate timekeeping available. This system comes with a compact main display unit and a single, water-resistant Honeywell TS35C remote temperature and humidity sensor that can be used both indoors and out. And with an effective transmission range of up to 328 feet, you can install the remote sensor virtually anywhere in or near the house. If you need to know the temperature in multiple locations, you can purchase up to two more TS35C remote sensors and use them all with the same main display unit. The main unit even includes a remote channel auto-scan function so you don't have to cycle through multiple sensors manually. And not only does this system display the temperature and humidity, but provides you with a 12- to 24-hour weather forecast with easy-to-interpret graphical icons, such as clouds, rain, sunshine and more.
The TE532ELW utilizes easy-to-read digits on a bright, blue backlit LCD display that allows you to read its information at a glance day or night. The screen displays the current temperatures at both the main display, and the remote sensor location in either Celsius or Fahrenheit depending upon your selection. As an added convenience, this system contains a programmable ice warning alarm that lets you know when a frost is predicted so you can take precautions, as well as a programmable high and low temperature alarm, and comfort level indicators. Users will also delight in this system's wide outdoor temperature and humidity range, which can range from -38 to 158 degrees F and 30- to 80-percent humidity when powered by lithium batteries, making it suitable for virtually any application. And for those who like to keep track of the highs and lows, the TE532ELW has a memory that stores minimum and maximum temperature and humidity for both the main display and remote sensor locations.
More than just a personal weather station, the TE532ELW includes a built-in clock that can display the current time in 12- or 24-hour format. And this clock really will display the current time, since it receives radio signals from the U.S. Atomic Clock in Fort Collins, Colorado. Not only does this consistently adjust the clock to within one second of official U.S. government, but automatically adjusts the time for Daylight Savings Time as well. What's more, this clock comes with dual alarms that feature a crescendo tone and a snooze function, as well as a calendar with month and day readings in English, Spanish, French, German or Italian. As convenient as it is accurate, the display unit can be mounted on the wall so you always know right where to look, or sit on your desktop and go wherever you do. Both the main display and the remote sensor each run on two AA batteries (not included), and are backed by a manufacturer's one-year warranty.

Boss MR1560DI Marine MP3-Compatible Digital Media Receiver Review

Boss MR1560DI Marine MP3-Compatible Digital Media Receiver
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We always use an Ipod when we are on the boat, so this sounded great! Installation was easy, I have two amps and this has pre amp outputs for front, rear and sub woofer so I just had to plug them in. Great sound, doesn't have any different sound features, just bass and treble adjustments along with bass boost if you have a sub woofer, but it sounds great. When you put your Ipod inside, which is pretty easy, it is secure so you don't have to worry about it getting wet or bouncing all over you dash. It also charges when it is docked inside. Won't support the Iphone, but I have had just about every Ipod docked in it and they all worked. The "touch pad" controls are not as sensitive or fast as you would think, sometime you have to touch them a few time to get it to work. The wireless remote is great. My stereo is mounted at an angle (2001 Ski Centurion)and if you are sitting down in the back set you need to hold the remote up high to work, not a big deal. The only real negative thing that I have with the stereo is that if you find a specific song, playlist or whatever it is time consuming and you will need the directions until you have done it a few time. The great thing is though, it has an aux input so you can always plug another Ipod in that way.

XACT XS025 SIRIUS Satellite Radio Portable Boom Box Review

XACT XS025 SIRIUS Satellite Radio Portable Boom Box
Average Reviews:

Totally surprised. Solid, great sound for a boombox, antenna works great, signal comes in pretty much anywhere. Built-in FM transmitter means you can leave it on the windowsill and broadcast to your home stereo. Kicks a#% for its size and price. Power knob turns on radio and boombox at the same time (nice) and also functions as volume knob, glows blue in the dark. In/Out for my Ipod, awesome. Best of both worlds. You really don't need a home or a car kit with this boombox (because of its FM transmitter). Might look weird, but don't be put-off. Speakers also rotate for customized sound distribution.

SuperSonic SC-1109 White Digital Alarm Clock Radio iPod Docking Station Review

SuperSonic SC-1109 White Digital Alarm Clock Radio iPod Docking Station
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'm usually quite good with technology, however, even the directions don't help with this cheap product. I've had a terrible time trying to put it into I-Pod mode and in the 2 times I've succeeded since I bought it last week it makes a soft static sound under the music. I'm not even going to attempt to try and figure out how to set the alarms. The only perk to this product is the remote control, but even the print on the buttons is so small I struggle to read it. I expect it to break completely at any time now.

Sony XDRF1HD HD Radio Tuner Review

Sony XDRF1HD HD Radio Tuner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
First of all, yes, this is a tuner, NOT a radio, and Amazon should correct that! Also, HD radio is NOT High Definition radio. The HD stands for Hybrid Digital. So don't assume you'll have better sound in HD than analog radio! That said,
I have been interested in getting an HD radio to try out the format. Being an audiophile, I checked several audiophile review sites for the Sangean tuners, and they weren't getting too good of reviews. Also, their price is $200-250.
Then I came across a review for this tuner, and how much better it is, saying the FM analog portion alone is worth the price.
I have to agree, the FM tuner is much better than the tuner in my $1000 PrePro! Analog reception picks up more stations and the sound is great! Haven't heard analog FM sound this good since the 60's! Analog AM is also better than my Prepro (though not by much). Great sound, and only $99 ! This is a steal, grab it before they jack up the price! Audiophie FM tuners go for $200 & up. All this performance, and it's about the size of a car stereo!
There are about 20 FM HD stations here in Chicago, and it pulls them all in great, except for one, which keeps switching between analog and HD. There are some AM HD stations in Chicago. It would show which were HD, but none of them had enough strength to switch the tuner from analog to HD, so I couldn't judge AM HD.
Now for some things that need improving: there are 40 presets; 20 for FM and 20 for AM....not enough for FM and too many for AM. If you want to hear a HD station in analog, there's no way to switch it back to analog, you have to listen in HD. The dial glows like a cellphone, which is great while you're using it, but when you turn it off, it still glows, like a night light in a dark room. When powering down, it should dim. You can dim it down in the menu so it doesn't glow in the dark, but then when you turn it on, you can't read it because it's dark. Who wants to set the dimmer everytime you turn it on and off?
Overall, it's more than worth it.

Audiovox SIRCK1 Sirius Satellite Radio Car Dock with Built-In Wireless FM Transmitter Review

Audiovox SIRCK1 Sirius Satellite Radio Car Dock with Built-In Wireless FM Transmitter
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I would highly advice that if you choose to get Satellite Radio, you should get it professional installed. I'm experimenting, so I went with the cheaper option. It works pretty well.
You should note that you'll have a few wires sticking out everywhere, and it will look kind of cheap, but if you can get over that, it works well. It has a cradle, a mounting bracket that can stick to the dash, and a mini FM transmitter so you can listen to Sirius through your radio. The whole system works quite well and does the job as best as it can. It's easy to and simple to setup, so that should not be a problem. The sound quality is a little weak, but it does the job.
Besides looking kind of cheap, which is not the docking kits fault, there are two main problems. One is that the mount uses screws or adhesive. I'm not going to drill randomly into my car, so I used the adhesive. The adhesive works very well, but I worry that if I ever remove the mount, will it take chunks of my dash with it? I don't know, which would be really scary if I deeply cared for my car. The second problem is that there is no power supply for a wall socket. This means that if you don't fork over another fifty dollars, you'll have to do the setup in your car, while the car is running. This is truly cheap and annoying.
All in all, it works well for those on a budget or those not willing to commit fully to Sirius radio.

The base has a swivel ball for adjustment of the dock, and it can be mounted to your dash using the included adhesive strip or included screws. The antenna has a magnetic base that enables you to mount it on your car's roof or trunk; it connects to the docking cradle with a 20-foot antenna cable.
