Sony thinks of nearly everything! They even give you a wire so if you want you can hook these up to your walkman and use them for regular headphones.
*The radio picks up very good
*They have a nice red display so you can see how to tune in the dark.
* and they only use 1 AAA battery so they are very light

Hello MP3'ers. After buying about $800.00 worth of IPODs for the kids over the past several years my wife decided she wanted an MP3 Player. A good friend of mine had purchased several Sansa's for his kids and highly recommended them. After owning the Sansa Fuse for several months it's the best $50.00 I've spent on MP3 players. It smokes the IPOD for the money. I like the IPOD ear-buds better but that's it (and I consider that to be very minor)! The Fuse I bought came with an extra 2GB card too.

Ematic EM608VIDMB 3-Inch Touch Screen 8 GB MP3 Video Player with Built-In 5 MP Digital Camera(Metallic Blue) Review

Ematic EM608VIDMB 3-Inch Touch Screen 8 GB MP3 Video Player with Built-In 5 MP Digital Camera(Metallic Blue)
Average Reviews:

This device has great statistics, lots of memory, good quality camera, good battery life and a touch screen are all great things for the price. I have to continually set the "User" equalizer though and because it cannot retain the setting in memory after powering down, I have to frequently reset audio setting which I think it should remember (like the USER equalizer). This solution should have be a default setting to the engineers, but isn't found in this device.
Though the camera is good quality, it does not have a "button" to click the pictures with, you have to tap an icon on the screen, which moves the camera and makes it difficult to take clear pictures. Voice and Video recordings are really good though, just not still camera shots.
Overall I'm satisfied, but the lack of memory for audio settings gets annoying real quick. The touchscreen automatically locks out and gets annoying sometimes as well, but you'll get used to that. I don't see how it can be used as a webcam either, as the device has no way to stand itself up or be mounted. Lots of features in a small package and the battery lasts a long time considering. If it were not for the auto settings not being remembered, I might buy again, but it would be much easier if it had a camera button, like the manual says.
The company eMatic has a few things to learn, but they should solve these problems and get a more user friendly product to market. I look forward to their newer products.

I purchased and had this product installed in my truck, and am completely satisfied with it. I only wish it had more input/output controls for use with my system. Other than that the condition is perfect and the usability is perfect.

Clarion's VZ400 gives you a premium multimedia receiver with intuitive touch panel control and clean, cutting-edge faceplate design. The VZ400 is a single DIN unit with a motorized, seven-inch touch panel. It offers built-in Bluetooth for hands-free operation and audio streaming, wide format support, USB audio for iPhone and iPod, front and rear A/V inputs, and plenty more. Plus with six channels of preamp output, rear vision camera input, support for HD/SAT radio, and more, there's room to grow. A significant and stylish upgrade to simple factory radios.

Built-in Bluetooth Hands-free Calling With Bluetooth built-in, you can wirelessly connect your Bluetooth capable mobile phone to listen to calls through your car's audio system. HFP/OPP/A2DP/AVRCP protocols are supported.
Superior iPod and iPhone Connectivity USB connection enables complete control of your iPod including video playback. Also "Works with iPhone" certified to bring its communication and entertainment capabilities into your car.
HD Radio Ready with iTunes Tagging Connecting the THD400 lets you enjoy listening to digitally broadcast radio programs with all their superior quality and helpful information. This includes iTunes Tagging capability, so if you hear a song on the radio that you like, you can tag it to download later from the iTunes Store. Two AV AUX Inputs / CCD Input VZ400 is equipped with two RCA jacks for AV AUX input. In addition to being able to hook-up an external video source for viewing in your car, the inputs also accept video signals from Clarion's rear vision CCD camera which lets you see the area behind your car for safer driving and parking.
Touch Panel Controlled GUI The GUI (Graphical User Interface) shows large icons that are highly visible and easily recognizable at a glance. And thanks to the touch panel screen, accessing each function is as intuitive as touching its icon. This very straightforward system lets the driver keep his attention on the road, and enables front seat passengers to use any desired function without the need to "learn" anything. What's more, since the vast majority of functions are controllable from the touch panel, there are only 4 physical buttons on the unit for the most basic and commonly-used functions.
Navigation Touch Panel Operation The NP400 hide-away navigation system can be connected to the VZ400 directly and controlled through its touch panel. So with this multimedia station, you can upgrade to a car navigation system at any time. Count on voice guidance messages and high-resolution map displays to get you safely to your destination.
6ch/2V RCA Output with Subwoofer Control With 3 sets of RCA outputs, you are free to add external power amplifiers to create a more powerful, sophisticated audio system. Also, independent volume control is enabled for the subwoofer so you can adjust the level of bass output to your liking at any time, regardless of the output level of the other channels.
Low-Pass Filter for Subwoofer Switching on the Low-Pass Filter (LPF) will send only the low frequency range through specified outputs to ensure superb performance with a connected subwoofer. A must if you have or plan to add a subwoofer to your system.

Boss BV8724 Exact Din In - Dash DVD/MP3/CD AM/FM Receiver Review

Boss BV8724 Exact Din In - Dash DVD/MP3/CD AM/FM Receiver
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this because it supports USB and SD memory for MP3 playback. I have been plugging my MP3 player in manually, and wanted MP3s without having to stop the player every time I turn off the car.
What works:
It has a nice radio, with touch-screen controls. Digital stations will include station name, title, and artist info while the song plays, though the text is pretty small. It also plays most of the DVDs I have tested, though I have not tried any external monitors on it yet. The main screen DOES show DVDs if you have the parking brake set. (legal requirement)
What doesn't work:
The manual claims to support USB and SD cards up to 32 GB. I have tried dozens of times, and could barely get them to support anything at all. Anything more than a few dozen MP3 files and it just locks up. The screen display for USB and SD cards looks like a spreadsheet. Bright, washed out text with no album art or graphics of any sort. You can select "random mode" (shuffle) but the player will forget this setting when the car is turned off and on again. Overall, the USB/SD playback functions are USELESS, and that was the point of me getting this unit.
The clock has a TINY display, sets itself from digital FM stations if available, but does not keep time, and will tell the wrong time more often than the right one. The other night at about 8:30 I manually set the clock, and when I came back three hours later, the clock display was gone, and manually checking it showed 83:47 . (probably a good reason to turn itself off)
So I'm out of luck with the built in MP3 player. At least there is a front A/V jack I can plug into.. I tried it and it is dead as a doornail. Will not work, no sound will play when selecting A/V input. NOT Nice.
The shame of it is that most of these problems are software issues. The hardware works well enough, except maybe the lack of a real-time clock chip. The single-DIN size of the unit is great, and the unit LOOKS nice enough when playing radio or DVD material. It's just useless for anything else.

Great remote.. works thru walls with the receivers can control nearly anything. Can set receivers to only receive your signal so 'interference' from other remotes in the area will not control your 'stuff'. Learning remote will even works with Bang and Olufsen Products (B&O) says this does not happen often as the very high frequency needed to control them.. you just need to go and and 'learn' the commands.
easy to program, learn commands, etc.. easy to clone remotes once you do get one programmed!
also .. customer assistance from universal remote is awesome.. i sent in one that stopped working and they replaced it without any drama.

Belkin TuneCast Mobile FM Transmitter Review

Belkin TuneCast Mobile FM Transmitter
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Belkin Tunecast is basically a small radio transmitter that plugs into the headphone jack of your iPod. The Tunecast transmits the music from your iPod to one of four selectable frequencies, which you can then listen to by simply tuning your home or car stereo to said frequency.
The most obvious advantage of this little device is the ability to use it anywhere there's a radio. Say you wanted to play your songs on your friend's stereo, or in your friend's car, or on a boombox at the beach: it's practically effortless with the Tunecast. And it's cheap, to boot.
Of course, what you gain in ease of use compared to, say, a direct line into your home or car stereo, you lose in sound quality. The sound is basically FM radio-quailty, with a noticible hiss in the background. Now, it's still more than listenable, and most of the time the music drowns out the hiss, but audiophiles in search of crystal-clear sound quality should look elsewhere (although they probably already know that).
Overall, I would recommend it simply because of its low price and versatility.

You can then tune your car stereo or receiver to the clearest FM frequency, and enjoy digital music with full sound and convenience. SanDisk 512 MB MP3 Player Blue Review

SanDisk 512 MB MP3 Player Blue

(More customer reviews)
Nice little mp3 player, solid and small. I got mine from Amazon for $108, Newegg didn't have it in stock at the time:-( Anyway great little mp3 player, I was considering the Creative Muvo N200 and the Muvo TX FM both 512MB models, both have radio also and cost about the same as the sandisk, the N200 has a line in, the TX FM doesn't. The Muvo TX FM can also be used as a flash drive for moving files of any type and does not need a cable to connect to a pc. They are nice products, but after I saw them in a store I realized that they were too small and the screens were microscopic.

I have perfect eye sight but I am so accustomed to my Iriver IMP-350's nice remote with good display size( a CD MP3 player). I looked at the manuals of the creative Muvo's and the sandisk SDMX1-512 and was able to see that the interface and menus of the Sandisk player was superior to the Creative Muvo's. [...] I also considered the Iriver flash players, but they were too expensive(still are). I have only used my Sandisk player for 2 days now and it has given me no problems.

The file transfer is very fast and the battery life seems pretty good so far. The battery is at 3/4 bars after 2 days of use, and it's the cheap alkaline battery that came with the player. I have one complaint, I wish it came with a neck strap like the creative Muvo's. I used a strap from an old pair of sun glasses. It comes with a nice clear plastic protective case and a set of cheap air phones, plus a nice velcro arm strap for all you joggers. The quick start manual is ok, the full manual if on the CD or the website. It's got a nice backlight and clear screen, sound quality is excellent and radio reception is very good, better than my Iriver IMP-350's reception.

The CD comes with musicmatch jukeboox version 9, I didn't even install it, it's crap, stick with winamp or media player. You don't have to install any drivers for windows xp. The entire screen flashes when transferring files, which is super fast. Voice recording is ok, I wish it had radio recording like the creative models though.
This player is great and cheap, go for it, you won't be sorry:-)
Tuki

Sandisk MP3 Player is very small, so small and so light that you can wear it on your neck as a pendant. A small, portable player that uses embedded flash memory instead of a rotating hard drive and plays for up to 15 continuous hours on a single AAA battery. This player combines crystal-clear sound with a sleek design and sports a three-button/one-joystick design and an easy-to-navigate user interface. It features MP3, Windows Media file and Windows Media-based DRM file playback, FM radio and voice recording. It can also double as a USB data storage device.

IESSENTIALS MP-HFM DIGITAL FM TRANSMITTER WITH CAR CHARGER Review

IESSENTIALS MP-HFM DIGITAL FM TRANSMITTER WITH CAR CHARGER
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
What I like about it:
1)Sleek design that matches exactly the style of my ipod touch
What I didn't like about it:
1)Slips out of the ipod rather easily because it lacks the little clips on the sides that some of these connectors have--very annoying.
2)The shaft of this connector that goes into the ipod wasn't long enough to connect properly after I put a rubber case protector on it. Not really the fault of this unit, but the reality is that most people will probably have a similar experience given that you buy this to use with your ipod in the car.
3)Not all channels are available, so if you find a clear channel on your car radio, it might not be available on this unit.
4)Does not scan automatically to find the next clear channel like some of the more expensive models do, so trying to get to a clear channel between this and your car stereo is at least as involved as texting while you drive. I don't recommend doing either. It's a royal pain when you're driving and you start getting interference.
To sum up, I decided to use an old cassette tape converter / connector instead. It makes a little noise due to the plastic gears spinning which is not ideal, but I usually only hear it between songs when no music is playing. (Maybe by now they've improved these and you can get one that doesn't have moving parts that make noise). That said, much better sound quality and not losing your signal and having to adjust your radio station and the station on the FM Transmitter while driving make it a much better option in my opinion.

Lasonic i931 Ghetto Blaster with iPod Dock Review

Lasonic i931 Ghetto Blaster with iPod Dock
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Sound quality:
So so. It sounds like a mediocre box from the '80s ( although better than most things that are available today)..not bad, but nothing to write home about. It does not hold up to the better boxes of the past, but that shouldn't be surprising. The treble frequencies are reproduced clearly with little or no harshness, the same for the midrange. Bass response seems to roll off at about 100-120Hz.
The good news is that it has separate bass and treble (-7 to +7 Db) controls, so your not limited to (often useless) pre-set eq settings.
Radio:
AM reception is so awful that I thought something was wrong with it. All I could pull in were the strongest local stations and not very well. After talking a look inside (I wasn't about to send it back over poor AM reception, and I have a background in electronics) I noticed one of the most minanal AM circuits I've ever seen, and a VERY small coil bar. Replacing the tiny ferrite bar brought reception up to less than average instead of almost deaf.
If you are planning to listen to the AM band be repaired to be disappointed.
FM overload city. One station (100KW that's about 8 miles away) over more than half of the dial covering over most weak signals. However medium and strong signals come though just fine. A FM mono switch helps clean up fringe signals.
MP3:
The USB port reads your PMP/MP3 player like a disc (you can't use the controls on your player), and also charges the device (you may not want to do this if you are running "D" cells as it will drain them). The card slot works as it should (I have not tried a card that's over 2G, so I don't know if it will read HC cards).
Navigating is done by browsing though folders (F01 F02 ect.) and by clicking though ff (next) and rewind (back) just like a CD player. There is no menu or way scrolling through a list of files available. Holding down the FF or REW button will scroll though the file at a very slow 2x or maybe 3x normal speed making long files such as podcasts or audio books very difficult to navigate through. There is no resume feature.
Formats are limited to MP3, WMA, and WAV/PCM.
IMHO you're better off running your PMP/MP3 player though the AUX portiPod docking:
I haven't tried this feature because I don't own an iPod. After trying and owning several other players that I found to be superior to an iPod I'm simply not interested in them.
EDIT/UPDATE:
I've tried it with an iPod and it does an ok job. It can even navigate though the iPod's menus. My only complaint is that the controls are not exactly user friendly, but on the other hand I find the scroll wheel type iPod user interface bit odd too. I mean "menu" is back instead of >?! That's one of the reasons why I don't own one. The other one is their lack of drag and drop compatibility.
The sound quality is just a touch better though the card reader and USB port. As odd as it may sound it seems the Lasonic has a better D to A converter. Go figure. Now please don't get me wrong as I don't dislike it at all. It does have it's limitations, but for what it is it does it's job just fine. If something should happen to this one I'd gladly order another one.
I do however really wish they would make a model with a Sansa or some other dock for those of us who would rather not deal with the limitations of an iPod, but with the AUX in and (although limited) USB port the issue is minimal.

I bought this remote to allow me ease of use for my boat mounted sony stereo. Due to the center console I had to mount the stereo very low. This remote is a life saver.
