(More customer reviews)I debated between this one and the kenwood. I read some reviews about the software on the kenwood having problems so I bought the audiovox. This thing does everything it's supposed to. The sound is cd quality and it comes with everything you need. Including the antenna with 20 feet of cord. The read out is very easy to read. My husband and I absolutely love it and recommend the audiovox to everyone.

(More customer reviews)The home docking station cuts off the FM tuner capability enough to render that feature useless to transmit to other FM radios in the house. For the same dollar amount, buy the car kit, (I bought a 2nd, and will buy a third). The cradle on the car kit sits in a flat surface just as well as the home unit. (More customer reviews)I recently hooked my S100 up to my car and everything seems to work just fine. The only problem i had was setting the fm transmitter to a channel that didn't have any interference from radio stations. Problem solved by connecting Sirius's FM direct Adapter(which connects through the cars antenna plug). No more static in any city. So the only real problem is that this car kit doesn't come with the FM direct adapter which was $20.

(More customer reviews)Did some initial research, chose this model based on other reviews. Shuttle this unit between my office and home, seems to be holding up ok. At the office I have the boom box set up, and at home have a docking cradle and have it connected to my home stereo system. That way, as an auxilary input, I can use my cassette recorder and tape content I may like to keep. Sound is clear and good, mostly just going back and forth between comedy channels and Howard Stern stuff. Mostly very pleased with this purchase...here in LA reception is fine. Setting it up with the fm modulator, I have been able to send the signal to other fm radio's set to the same unused frequency to hear satellite broadcasts away from the unit. Distance only 15-20 ft, which I am working on. May wire the house so I have speakers throughout so I can hear it in every room. What? Yea, I know...

I received the SKYFi2 with car adapter kit as a Christmas gift. After having it professionally installed in my car, I became an instant fan of XM Radio. I soon started listening to XM on my home computer via XMRadio Online and then decided to go with the home apapter. XM Radio sounds incredible on my stereo system and there is little to no interference. Just remember...don't let the AC cord and the audio cables touch or you will definitely get interference.

It allows me to take the small tuner module to record on the Nexus or to work on this dock with my XM-ready Yamaha home theater receiver. Turns out I didn't even need to mount the antenna in a window or outside facing South. It works with a decent signal level located inside a cabinet on the south wall of my house, picking up sufficient signal levels through the cabinet and the outside wall of my house!!! I just used the tuner display of signal strength and moved it around till I found a good signal, avoiding the need to buy an extention cable, drilling a hole through the wall and mounting it outside.
