(More customer reviews)Not a marine grade set. The cd player would not eject the disc I had inside. Sound was ok. Stereo case was rusting after 8 months of use. Audio would go in and out at speed. According to troubleshooting it claims that the radio was at the improper angle. I modified the angle and still would go in and out. I replaced the stereo with a pioneer and have had no issues since. The speakers have ok sound but again not marine grade. The mounting hardware has rusted and now the cones have seperated from the speaker. Trust me on this one. Don't waste your money.

Jensen CD/Cassette Receiver with Detachable Face (CM9521) Review

(More customer reviews)I wanted a CD/Cassette player for my Chevy truck. Yup, you know if you're a GM or Chrysler owner, there's not much out there in 1.5 DIN and who wants a 1.0 DIN with faceplate surround?
First major complaint: the CD skips like crazy from the slightest bump, even on slightly rough freeways.
Second complaint: too bright, can't turn down the lights on the face at night and it is very distracting.
What's happened to Jensen? They used to make a good product.
I'm looking for a replacement but so far nothing's out there.

(More customer reviews)I like this unit. Installed this unit in a 2001 Jeep Wrangler. The screen slightly covers the climate controls, but when the screen is tilted, they can be accessed easily. The sound quality is good, all the connectors are solid, and the bluetooth works great for both calls and music. Use this with your Smartphone and stream some Pandora, it sounds great. Picture quality is good, and the touch screen is responsive for a resistive touch screen.
The only complaint is that the screen will show some artifacts when it is really cold. Get the heat goning, and it looks fine once it warms up.
Great buy for the money!

(More customer reviews)I purchased two of these units for my two son's for Christmas. One worked fine but the other had a problem cutting out as my son reported to me. When I checked the unit it was only working on one side and the sub so I gave it a few taps to see if there were loose connections. Sure enough the right side also went out leaving just the sub working. I popped the 8 screws out that hold the power amp and circuit boards in the back and sure enough a ribbon cable block connector was barely on and loose. After securely re-connecting this obvious problem and getting the unit back inside it works fine. These are good units but I think there is a problem with the ribbon cables coming loose during shipping which would explain alot of bad reviews. With a phillips screw driver and small bit of investigation the unit was back in great working condition without any need to hassle with a return or refund etc. Too bad the manufacturer doesn't blob silicone on these to secure them for the shipping which would save them and some customers alot of PITA.

(More customer reviews)Wow, First of all I love the option of 2 day delivery, it was well worth it. Second ,the Pyle PHS901CW exceeded my expectations. The unit is well made and looks more like a piece of furniture, than an Ipod docking station. Third point, the unit sounds great as is right out of the box. I'm not a Bose fan which is what most e-tailers and retailers push as the best docking station out there. This unit has more punch and features than it's competitors. The remote works very and my IPhone charges while playing music. I give this unit an 8.5 out of 10. Please keep in mind I have yet to see and hear a 10. I look forward to Pyle's next gen. unit.

(More customer reviews)I bought this item because I wanted all of the items included in the package (cover, & speakers). It seemed like a good value and Pyles website listed it for well over $200 and I thought I was getting a good price from the amazon seller AntOnline.
Well the unit arrived and was miserably disappointed because the unit felt cheap, flea market made in China cheap. Actually I never really hooked it up to hear the sound or CD quality or functionality - The radio faceplate would not close properly, and if I tried really hard and pressed on the left edge it sorta closed, but then it popped open as soon as you started manipulating buttons. Im not sure if this was a product defect or a security measure to deter thieves from deciding that this piece of #$%^& was not worth stealing.
The "waterproof" feature is actually black tape covering all the vent holes in the chassis and I'm not too confident that this unit would actually hold up a marine environment. The splashproof housing cover had weak/worn springs and would not stay open - thus was useless. Speakers were tiny with tiny magnets - I did not test them.
All in all I would say a big thumbs down - I think I'm going

(More customer reviews)I couldn't get this item to work. I sent it back and ordered a replacement - it didn't work either. Finally bought a DUAL unit locally and it worked fine. Either there is a quirk to the installation or their quality control is poor. All I can offer is that I didn't have any problem installing the DUAL unit and it has the same wiring setup - draw your own conclusions.

Tried to call toll free number for Pyle and got answering machine but couldn't leave a message as it was full. I hope this is not a bad sign! Sent email to company but not heard back from them yet. Pyle PHST92IBGL 600 Watt Digital 2.1 Channel Home Theater Tower with iPod and iPhone Docking Station (Piano Wood Finish) Review

(More customer reviews)The Pyle Tower with iPod player arrived on time and nicely packaged. On removal from the box it is very attractive in the Piano finish. Easy to set up but the instructions on setting the sound quality, base, treble, etc. Are not clear and it took some creative thinking to figure it out. Overall sound quality is better than desktop iPod players but disappointing for a unit this size with an 8" sub. The base is weak and treble is not crisp and sharp. Sounds like Pyle used third tier driver components. Another disappointment is that, even though the unit is marketed to be compatible with iPhone, the "non-compatible" message in the iPhone pops up each time it is docked. Also, the loud annoying iPhone interference noise is frequent if the 3G signal is weak. That seems to be better with a strong signal. Another disappointment: I emailed Pyle tech support as instructed in the manual about the interference and got no reply. I expected better but decided not to return the unit.
